
Caroline Thomas
Caroline Thomas is theFounder and Director of Total Theatre Lab (TTL) and has been teaching acting for over twenty years. After graduating from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, she returned to NYC to complete her studies in Method Acting as well as the Meisner Technique, with Mordecai Lawner of the Neighborhood Playhouse. Ms. Thomas is also a distinguished teacher of voice and speech. She incorporates into all her teaching, innovative techniques from training with Jerzy Grotowski, Andre Gregory and Robert Wilson. She has appeared as an actress both Off-Broadway and in Regional theatres. Performances include the Nurse in Medea at The Kennedy Center and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at The Roundabout Theater. She has produced and directed dozens of readings and showcase productions, often with combined casts of students and professional actors. Her plays, sometimes written from student improvisations and with specific students in mind, have been showcased Off-Off-Broadway and in Gainesville, Florida at the Acrosstown Repertory Company. Ms. Thomas was Casting Director for the feature film, Anna, in which Sally Kirkland achieved an Academy Award nomination for the title role.
