
Ed Young
Mr. Young’s expertise spans magazines, television, traditional retail, digital commerce, digital creative and internet marketing. While a college undergraduate he co-founded The Source Magazine, arguably one of the most significant cultural phenomena in modern music and popular culture. Under his business tutelage, The Source became one of the most successful magazine launches, with line extensions such as The Source Sports and The Source Awards, in publishing history. Additionally, while simultaneously acting as Associate Publisher at The New Republic Magazine, Mr. Young created one of the most successful direct marketing infomercial campaigns in magazine publishing history. Currently, he runs a portfolio of technology companies. Apps and platforms related to these companies include the Universal Health Screener, the Doctor HealthBot™, Blackbird Mobile, Inflight Reader, the ez Waiting Room app, magMaker® and over one hundred custom-branded magazine apps.
He has served on the National Endowment for the Arts Literary Magazine and Press funding boards. He is also a board member of The Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) and a Founding Member of Platform.org.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University and resides in New Jersey with his wife of 26 years, Karen, and is the proud father of their nineteen-year old son.
