Nana Ponceleon
I was born in Venezuela but spent my early years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where my father went to school at LSU. I have lived between Venezuela and the USA ever since.
I got a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from Pace University in New York, which was my first career. I worked in sales and marketing for many years. I worked for Philip Brothers in Venezuela, which was the commodities division of Salomon Brothers, managing their purchases and sales of various metals, grains and sugar to and from Venezuela. I also worked for Microsoft Venezuela for over 11 years in sales to corporate, mid-market, education market, managing the loyalty programs, distribution channel and also managing telesales for Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia. I also did a couple of years of consulting in sales.
Even though my interest in art began in childhood it was only recently when acting became my full time career. I came to New York to study acting, graduating from Stella Adler Studio of Acting. My first films were done in Venezuela, one of them becoming a box office success and later shown in HBO.
